Viswa Hindu Parishad would soon launch India Health Line to provide free diagnosis, consultation and surgical treatment to marginalized section of the society in the Kashi Prant region. A decision to this effect was taken in the ongoing Hindu Conference at Sadafal Ashram on Sunday.

At least 120 VHP leaders and activists, including international president Praveen Togadia and other office-bearers are participating in the conference. Viswa-Hindu-Parishad

Togadia wants to extend the service across the UP and is currently on a mission to rope in as many doctors as possible. VHP members organized meeting with private medical practitioners and people from diverse fields on Sunday to mobilise them for the endeavour.
VHP’s medical facility is currently a part of Hindu Help Line which was started a decade ago to addresses the problems of Hindus ranging from pilgrimage to child birth planning.

Convener of the programme Gopal Srivastava said, “The India health line is for all people living below the poverty line irrespective of caste and community. We have held meeting with doctors and also people from diverse fields, including lawyers and other professionals, to mobilise them for the free treatment of the people in need.”

India health line is expected to help patients from remote areas. VHP office-bearers claimed that Togadia, who was a practicing doctor, wanted to woo people of every community through the health service. As part of the service, patients would be treated free-of-cost. Apart from this, facilities of lodging for patient’s attendants and arranging blood for patient too would be a part of the service.

“Regular blood donation camps and medical camps are also expected to be held in the region to popularise the India Health Line,” said Srivastava.
