Kaivalyadhama, Patanjali tie up for scientific research in yoga

Kaiyalyadhama Yoga Institute, India’s oldest yoga centre and Patanjali Yogpeeth, the country’s largest yoga institute, have come together to undertake scientific research in the field of yoga to help get yoga the status of a scientific medical field.

Speaking on the same, Baba Ramdev of Patanjali Yogpeeth said, “Approximately 100 years ago when no one thought of yoga, leave alone research in the same, Guru Swami Kuvalyananda started Kaiyalyadhama-Yoga-InstituteKaivalyadhama in Amalner in 1917 to promote yoga in modern scientific manner. The yoga institute was later established in Lonavla in 1924 by him. Swami Kuvalyananda should be recognised for his efforts in the field of scientific research in yoga. He is credited with the evolution and understanding of yoga in the modern scientific manner. Kailvalyadhama yoga institute is the foremost yoga institute that has pioneered yoga research they share our ideology and that’s why we thought of combining our synergies and doing more research.”

On the association, Subodh Tiwari, joint director-administration, Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute, said, “We see Patanjali Yogpeeth as excellent partners in collaborating with and to do quality research. We hope that this collaboration will help take yoga to every corner of the country.”
